Our Managing Director has over 20 years of progressive experience in business. He passed the CPA exam on the first attempt in November 1994 (www.aicpa.com). He is a candidate for Level III of the CFA Program (www.cfainstitute.org). He previously held the Series 7 and 66 licenses (both passed on first attempt). He has been an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Loyola University of Maryland since 2000, teaching primarily MBA-level courses in the Finance Department. Additionally, Mr. Harding has also guest lectured at Johns Hopkins and George Washington University. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, valuation, corporate strategy, estate planning, decision support, financial statement analysis, business planning and forecasting, and process improvement. He has led financial modeling and valuation for due diligence teams on projects totaling billions of dollars in value at a Fortune 100 Company. He developed a value calculation service from scratch (and led the national roll-out) while working at one of the largest financial institutions in the World. He served three years as the CFO of a family-run Construction Firm, helping lead profitable sales growth (from $20mm to $35mm) and increasing shareholder value – all during a recession. Mr. Harding has proven expertise in turnaround situations (and is actively engaged in two at the moment). He is active in his community, having served on Boards, taught CCD classes and coached youth basketball teams to championships.

Mr. Harding has also faced and overcome his share of personal adversity. His first job was cutting tobacco in the fields off Greenock Road in Lothian, MD, a city with a population today of around 6,000. He and his doubles tennis partner are the only two men to ever win a County Championship from his High School, where tennis was never a top sport. His family went through bankruptcy in the recession of the early 1990s, forcing him to put himself through the final two years of college at Virginia Tech – a decision he almost did not make. He has not just seen businesses having difficulty – he has lived through it. Mr. Harding was fortunate to have faced these difficulties – for while they were at times the worst thing to happen to him – they were actually the best things to ever happen to him.  He will never forget where he comes from.

He has the experience, education, technical skills and leadership abilities to help businesses, organizations and individuals maximize long-term value and become Champions.
